When I was growing up, I was not that much into music. I didn't really get into it until high school. But one band that my family and I have always enjoyed listening to is Creedence Clearwater Revival. And my favorite song of theirs is definitely "Lookin' out my back door."
I like this song because it's lively and happy. It cheers you up. It also brings back fond memories with my family. This is one of those songs that, whenever it came on the radio, we would always crank it up and dance. And whenever we were on a long car trip and my parents were arguing or someone was pissed at someone, I would just pop in the CCR CD, turn up this song to the point where no one could hear each other talk anymore, and by the end of it everyone was in a good mood.
I think the purpose of this song is to cheer you up, and to get you to tap your foot along to the beat. The genre of this is sort of like a rock and roll/country mix, but as for the audience, I think that anybody would enjoy this song. The stance in this song is definitely happy and upbeat, but in a relaxed, laid back kind of way. The design of this song is such that it conveys the author's simultaneous sense of liveliness and tranquility. This is a song I will always enjoy listening to because it always brings out good things.
